- Inflammation of the plantar fascia
- Chronic stress may cause calcium to deposit, forming a spur on the calcaneus
- Occurs in patients :-
- > 40 years old
- Active sportsmen may be in his twenties
- Prolonged standing or walking
- Caused by :-
- Symptoms :-
- Increase pain while climbing stairs, walking or running
- Pain at the first step getting out of the bed in the morning
- Relieved by rest
- Tenderness at the plantar fascial attachment of the calcaneus, in the medial arch area and in the abductor hallucis muscle
