- Compression of the median nerve at the wrist
- Cause :-
- Activities: repetitive wrist motion, static or dynamic grip and pinch
- Systemic diseases: rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, diabetes, thyroid disorder, hormonal changes of pregnancy and menopause
- Occur most frequently during middle or advanced age (>40 years old)
- Women > Men
- Symptom :-
- Pain, numbness or tingling at the palmar aspect of the thumb, index and long finger
- Pain and paresthesias at night
- Increase pain while driving a car, holding a cup and typing
- Feel more symptom at night as it progress
- Feel weakness
